Listening back, with a bit of distance, to what we were able to record, I’m truly proud to be able to make this offering and consistently moved and surprised by the subtlety, depth and wit of Annie’s performance. We were also honored with the extraordinary contributions of the following exceptional artists: Kid Congo Powers, Jim White, Oren Bloedow, Jason DiMatteo, Brian Viglione, Martin Wenk, Dave “Smoota” Smith, Kristof Hahn, Martin Bisi, my son Roman Casper Wallfisch and Ronny Drayton, who, it turned out, was playing on his last album. We dedicate this recording to his memory.
